TONE MARKS IN NKWEN LANGUAGE

Nkwen is a tone language, that is, a language in which variations in pitch distinguish different words. Tone marks on words can change their pronunciation and meaning when used in isolation and in sentences. Tone variation also makes differences in tenses. When writing this language the different tone marks should be seriously considered. The following tone marks are observed in the Nkwen language:

Nkwen Language Past Tense

This tense marks actions or situations which took place earlier than the moment of speaking and may be translated into English as the Present Perfect Tense.

Nkwen Language Scheme of Work

This scheme is a proposed plan of work aimed at assisting kids and Pupils who are in the Nursery and primary ̧Schools in the Nkwen Fondom to be able to speak, read, and write the Nkwen Mother Tongue.
