Fruits Of Daily Reflection For May 2025

Our prayer for today.  May 29th. Thursday of the sixth week of Easter. Ascension Thursday.

Scriptures:
Matthew 16:13-19
When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi
he asked his disciples,
“Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah,
still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter said in reply,
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my Church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven.
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Prayer: “Foundation of Faith”
Dear Lord, help me to confess my faith in you as Peter did, recognizing that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Grant me the wisdom to understand your teachings and the courage to follow your path. May I be a faithful disciple, building my life on the rock of your love and truth.

Give me the keys to the Kingdom of heaven, that I may bind and loose according to your will. Help me to use the authority you have given me to bring glory to God and to build up the Church. May I be a reflection of your love and character to the world, and may my life be a testament to your goodness and mercy.

May your Church be built on the foundation of your love and truth, and may it prevail against the gates of the netherworld. Help me to be a faithful member of your Church, working together with others to bring glory to God and to build up the Body of Christ. Amen.

Daily Prayers.

Our Prayer for Today.

May 27th. Tuesday of the sixth week of Easter.

Holy Spirit, come and minister to me.

Scriptures: John 16:5-11.

Jesus said to his disciples:

“Now I am going to the one who sent me,

and not one of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’

But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts.

But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go.

For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you.

But if I go, I will send him to you.

And when he comes, he will convict the world

in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation:

sin, because they do not believe in me;

righteousness, because I am going to the Father

and you will no longer see me;

condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.”

A Prayer for Guidance and Conviction.

As you pray, make the words your own. Pray in faith and claim the blessings.

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and humility. As I reflect on the words of Your Son, Jesus, I acknowledge the gift of the Holy Spirit, our Advocate. Lord, help me to understand the significance of His coming and the power He brings to our lives.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, come and help me realize what sin truly is.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, come and teach me how to avoid sin.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, come and guide me on the path of true righteousness.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, come and show me the ways to live in accordance with Your will.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, come and empower me to resist the temptations of this world.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, come and open my eyes to the truth of Christ’s love and sacrifice.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, come and fill me with the courage to share this truth with others.

My Lord Jesus, reflecting on Your Word, I recognize that sin is rooted in disbelief, and righteousness is found in our relationship with You. Help me to be aware of the conviction you bring, so that I may turn away from sin and embrace the life You offer. My Assuring Jesus, I trust in you. Amen.

Reflection Points:

May 26th. Monday of the 6th week of Easter.

Gospel: John 15: 26 – 16: 4.
But when the Paraclete cometh, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he shall give testimony of me.

And you shall give testimony, because you are with me from the beginning.

These things have I spoken to you, that you may not be scandalized.

They will put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth a service to God.

And these things will they do to you; because they have not known the Father, nor me.

But these things I have told you, that when the hour shall come, you may remember that I told you of them.

Prayer for Guidance by the Holy Spirit.

As you pray, let the  words come from your heart.

Grant me the courage to give testimony of you, even in the face of adversity and persecution. May the Holy Spirit guide me and give me the words to speak, that I may bring glory to God and be a reflection of your love to the world.

Help me By your  Holy Spirit to remember your teachings and to stand firm in my faith, even when faced with challenges and hardships. May I be a light to others, shining with the love and truth of your gospel. Give me the strength to persevere, knowing that you have warned me of the trials ahead.

May your Spirit empower me to be a bold and faithful witness, and may I always trust in your plan and follow your path. Amen.

Holy Spirit, remind me of the promises of Jesus:

– That if I am persecuted, remember that He was persecuted first.
– That I am not greater than my master, and if they persecuted Him, they will persecute me also.

Scriptures: John 14:23-29.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
Whoever does not love me does not keep my words;
yet the word you hear is not mine
but that of the Father who sent me.

May 23rd. Friday of the 5th Week of Easter. Teach me how to love truly, O Jesus. Scriptures: 15:12-17.
Jesus said,
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other.

A Prayer for Love and Friendship in Christ.
Dear Lord, help me to love others as you have loved me, sacrificially and unconditionally. Grant me the courage to lay down my life for my friends and to prioritize their needs above my own. May I be a true friend to those around me, walking in obedience to your commands and sharing in the intimacy of your friendship.

You have called me friend, not servant, and have revealed to me the mysteries of the Father’s love. Help me to live out this friendship in my daily life, bearing fruit that will last and bringing glory to God. May your love be the defining characteristic of my relationships, and may I be a reflection of your love to the world.

Give me the strength to love others as you have loved me, even when it’s difficult or sacrificial. You are our vine, and we are your branches, Lord.

Jesus Said,

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.  He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.  You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.  If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.  If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.  This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
